The last year has been a whirlwind of musical chairs in the fashion industry. Hedi Slimane took over for Phoebe Philo at Celine after her 10-year reign. Christopher Bailey said his goodbyes to Burberry after 17 years, and in stepped Riccardo Tisci from his 12-year span at Givenchy. Now, Kim Jones has nabbed the Creative Director seat at Dior Homme from Kris Van Assche, who spent 11 years at the French house. Jones departed Louis Vuttion back in January after 11 years as the men's artistic director.

With all the movement around the industry, it can be difficult to predict what, or who, will be next. Despite the haziness, the fashion world seems to be confident in Jones. "Kim Jones is one of the most revered designers of his generation,” British Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enninful said. “From the very beginning of his career he has always pushed the boundaries of menswear and brought it into a realm of newness and excitement. His work at Louis Vuitton really took the best elements of the street and mixed them with luxury – and I am very much looking forward to seeing what he does at Dior.” Naomi Campbell sent out her excited sentiment via Instagram, saying in a caption, "#Congratulations @mrkimjones. I'm happy for you and can’t wait to see the Fire you set @diorhomme... YES YOU CAN !!!!"

Jones is slated to present his first ready-to-wear collection in June. With a sense of optimism on his side, mixed with curiosity, Jones' debut collection is bound to be a Hallmark moment. See how the fashion set reacted to the news below.
