Pop culture is having a moment in high fashion. First came the Stranger Things-themed Louis Vuitton t-shirts. Quick in their shadow come all new couture handbags from famed Belgian designer Delvaux, inspired by the Game of Thrones phenomenon and those who follow it religiously.

Delvaux has unveiled the "Couture Exclusive Collection," comprising of four couture handbags that take heed from the Mother of Dragons herself, with names including “Queen’s Desire,” “Golden Glory,” “Iron Shield,” and “Black Beauty.” The collection officially launches today, with prices ranging from $5,600 to $9,200. The bags all embody the classic Delvaux “Brilliant” silhouette, and the brand is introducing a newer and smaller size dubbed "Le Brilliant Micro." While prices may seem staggering, their will be many high fashion aficionados who have also dipped their toes in the Game of Thrones universe.

The idea came from stylish superfan and Delvaux’s artistic director Christina Zeller, who told Vogue, “I have always been a great fan of the Middle Ages, for the costumes and their ornaments. I knew I would use this idea one day for a collection but then, with my sudden love for Game of Thrones, I decided it was the perfect timing to make my dream come true.”

The bags are a nod to Dragon Queen, Daenerys Targaryen and, according to Zeller, a prime example of modern feminism: “She embodies the expression, ‘an iron fist in a velvet glove’.” No doubt the ravenous Game of Thrones fans will be hungry for these handbags too. Peep the collection below.
