Following the announcement earlier this week that designer Tomas Maier was departing from Bottega Veneta, his successor has been revealed. Daniel Lee, a young Central Saint Martins graduate, will assume the role as Creative director effective July 1.

Chairman and chief executive officer of Bottega Veneta's parent company Kering François-Henri Pinault welcomes Lee saying, "The singularity of his vision inspired by a very personal creative approach convinced me that he was best able to open a new chapter in the history of the house. His work is characterized by great rigor, a mastery of studio expertise, a true passion for materials and an energy that I cannot wait to see take shape at Bottega Veneta."

Previously residing as creative director of ready-to-wear at Céline, Lee joining the Bottega Veneta family comes as less of a surprise, and more so a celebration of young blood ushering in a new era for the brand!
